Daniel Jung

Ryan Lee

Hello! I’m Ryan Lee and I’m from the Lower East Side. I am a competitive fingerstyle guitarist, member of the Stuyvesant Key Club Fundraising Committee, and serve as the Assistant director of machining in our robotics team, FRC 694. But that’s enough about me. I’m running for sophomore caucus for one reason; I strive to serve the student body. I believe that a government should serve its people at any scale, and Stuyvesant is no exception. I believe that our platform moves towards this goal with its extensive policies, and above all, we want to help out our fellow students during these tough times. Signing off, I ask you this, make a change in our class and school by voting for the Lee-Jung Campaign.
Hello everybody! My name is Daniel Jung, and I am running for Sophomore Caucus. Like most of you, I live in New York City and go to Stuyvesant. For those of you who are from SIT, BxSci, or just stalking me, thanks for showing up! In my free time, I like listening to really old music, collecting coins, and playing Minecraft. And for the past year, I’ve been a member of our Stuyoulse robotics team. Although the team was supported by the likes of Mr. Blay and our mentors, it was the students that came together to lead the team. From my peers I’ve learned not just how to function and work as part of a team, but from the experiences of my upperclassmen, I’ve also learned how to lead one. I know that, if elected, I can use these skills for the betterment of the sophomore class. I believe that the role of a student government is to listen to the students, make a genuine change, and above all, fight for the betterment of the student body. This is the reason I am running for Sophomore caucus, to serve my peers, and I guarantee that, in everything I do, I will do it with the best interests of the student body at heart.

The Managers

Abigail Johnson
Hello! My name is Abi Johnson and I am a sophomore living in Battery Park, Manhattan. Before I became a part of the Lee-Jung campaign, a lot of my time was spent on activities such as Varsity Basketball, Varsity Softball, and I am also a member of the Stuy for Wounded Warriors club. I am also one of the few students that take German at school-- one of my favorite passions.
I was invited to be a campaign manager for the Lee-Jung campaign and I believe that this campaign is capable of bringing great change to our school/class. I am here to create policies that allow the student body to be heard and that makes our school environment a more comfortable place to be. Everyone has a voice, and I am here to ensure that everyone is heard.

Alexander Lopez
Hi! My name is Alexander Lopez, but everyone calls me Lex. I was born and raised in New York. For the first 4 years of my life I lived right next to Stuytown on Lexington avenue, in fact that's where my parents gave me my nickname. Five years ago I went to a small Charter School called Success Academy. By the time I got into 8th grade my class had 26 students. My school might have been small but it was mighty. I started my debate career there and there I debated Stuyvesant Students at a national level. Later, I continued my aspirations in Stuyvesant- joining many clubs such as the Asian Coalition and Debate. As an experienced debater I jumped right into the Varsity Pool as a freshman and I loved every minute of it. Being a student at Stuyvesant was daunting coming from a graduation class of 26, but I pulled through. As a campaign manager of the Lee-Jung ticket I want to continue to improve, to any degree, the environment that allows us to have such great extracurriculars, academics, and students.

Hailey Seltzer
Hi! I am Hailey Seltzer and I am a sophomore who lives in Manhattan. During my freshman year at Stuyvesant, I became one of the leaders in the Psychology club and the Wellness Council. I also joined the Financial Department for Freshman Caucus, which was an amazing experience. My time spent in the Financial Department allowed me to understand both Stuy’s political workings and my classmates’ preferences. My ambition has led me to achieve all of these positions and it has also led me to partake in courses about medicine and foreign language courses abroad. This ambition and hard work has led me to join the Lee-Jung Campaign in their run for Sophomore Caucus in order to make a tangible difference in the student body.

Jesse Ding
Hey everyone,
My name is Jesse and I’m one of the campaign managers for Ryan and Daniel’s campaign. I didn’t choose to be a part of this campaign out of friendship, rather, it was the trust in the campaign’s overarching goal in unifying the student body and creating policies that resonate within our unique sophomore class. Leadership-wise, I’m a co-director of the events department in Stuy’s SU and over the summer I got an amazing opportunity to work for a law firm and manage a small team to create a website and manage advertisements. I got to build my leadership skills and experience what it was like to lead those who were more experienced than me. With extracurriculars, I’m a sprinter on Stuy’s track team, specializing in hurdles. I’m grateful to be a part of this campaign and I can’t wait to see the impact we make on this school.

Ruo Yu Wang
Hello! My name is Ruo Yu Wang and I’m a sophomore living in Flushing, Queens. When I’m not scrolling through Tiktok, I like to embroider and waste money on Sanrio. I think I have an obsession with Sanrio, oops! I’ve been a part of Stuyvesant’s Key Club and StuySmile for freshman year. When I was invited to be a manager for the Lee-Jung campaign, I accepted because I knew that this campaign would be the campaign that would make a change among the students at Stuy.
